Membership in ANSS is open to any Nair family who are residing in and around Ambattur and Avadi area.

Honorary membership

One time subscription of Rs 25,000 has to be paid to become a Honorary member. Honorary membership is a privileged one which entitles the member to pass his/her membership to their generations.

Life Membership

One time subscription of Rs 5,000 has to be paid to become a Life member.

Regular Membership

Annual subscription of regular membership shall be Rs.400.

Members have to renew their subscription annually by paying Rs.200 as the renewal fee.

Rights and Obligations:

Members have the right of voting and can stand for elections after the completion of one year membership. They have the obligation to promote the aims of the society and to look after the welfare of other members of the society. They have the duty to make use of the opportunities that arise in the society to promote the interest of the entire Nair community.

Cessation of Membership

A member shall be expelled if he/she is found insane or if he/she works against the interests of the society, for indiscipline, or for misconduct, by the Executive Committee. The expelled member shall have the right to appeal to the President of the Samajam within 30 days from the date of expulsion. The President, after due consideration, shall present such appeals, if they are found to have some merit, in the ensuing executive committee meeting for its decision and the executive committee decision shall be final and binding. Such expulsion will be valid for six years, and afterwards, if the expelled member desires to re-enter the Samajam as a member, the approval of the executive committee concerned is necessary. In the event of temporary / final removal of a member/members, intimation to that effect showing the reasons thereof shall be served on him/her.
