Annual General Body Meeting

Our Annual General Body Meeting was conducted on 30th June 2024.

Treasurer A. Ramakrishnan submitted the balance sheet of two consecutive years 2022-2023, 2023-2024 which was discussed in detail and then approved by members.

New executive committee members and officer bearers were selected.

Vishukkaineetam

This year Vishukkaineetam was celebrated on Sunday, 14th April 2024 at our Community Hall in the august presence our Patron Smt. Sreedevi Unnithan (Chairperson Shankar Group of Companies)

Vishukaineetam was distributed to all the samajam members and their family members

Bharathanatyam was performed by Ishwarya Sunil Kumar and Kerala Nadanam was performed by Kavya Valsarajan

Spritual Discourse was presented by our special guest Br Anand Chaitanya

Kerala Food Festival

One of the reasons for organizing the Kerala Food Festival is to popularize the traditional and ethnic food dishes of Kerala which are either forgotten or are no longer popular among the present generation.

ANSS started conducting Kerala Food Festival from the year 2016. With the energetic, active support from the members and overwhelming participation of its members and other food lovers in and around Ambattur, Mogappair and Avadi, Food festival was a grand success in the past 2 years.

Last year, the Kerala Food Festival was conducted on 5th August 2018 between 10.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. The Food Festival was based on the theme “Spices” and named as “Uppum Mulagum Pinne Njanum” meaning Salt Chilly and Me indicating the participation of “Life with Spieces”.

The event was inaugurated by Sri Kalpaga Gopalan, GNSS.

The festival showcased different types of indigenous food tastes of Kerala. 10 stalls were organized with over 20 different Kerala traditional food varieties starting from Malabar Chicken biriyani, pothi choru mean curry and Kappa and Kozhi curry to name a few.

The venue saw a steady stream of food connoisseurs making a beeline to the counters to relish a range of items at the three-day festival. The event was covered by various new papers such as Mathrubhumi, Malaya Manorama etc.,
